There are many things in life out of our control.

The families we’re born into, where we grow up, others’ actions that impact us…
These are things we can’t change.
There will always be elements of life that are out of our control.
Luckily, there is ONE thing you are (and always will be) completely in charge of: your mind.
Your thoughts, how you interpret your circumstances, your self-talk, your ability to take action, and so much more.
But are you currently living for yourself, or for everyone but yourself?
I see you out there, putting in countless hours at the office and at home, chasing promotion after promotion in your career, trying to keep up with the other moms, feeling obligated to sign up for every little volunteer opportunity at church.
Plus, you know, trying to keep the house spick and span 24/7, finding time for your workouts 5 days a week, and being a supportive wife to your husband.
And if anything slips through the cracks? Well, let’s just say it’s a downward spiral of feeling out of control—taking it out on yourself (and maybe even your loved ones?) no matter how big or small of a thing it may be.
You know it’s not a healthy pattern… but when achievements, accolades, and doing things are at the center of what makes you feel valuable and worthy, how are you supposed to break free from that without letting your entire world (both IRL and in your mind) crumble?
The good news is, if you take ownership of your mind, you will take ownership of your life.
But those mindset shifts can be, well… much easier said than done.
I know, because unfortunately, I almost lost my life due to some of the choices I made.
